The first accident happened westbound, under the Route 214 bridge, when two cars collided, causing two people to be transported to the hospital.

An eyewitness told 7 News a semi, merging over into the passing lane, forcing this s-u-v onto the berm, which caused it to roll over.

Four people were inside at the time of the accident. Their conditions are unknown, tonight.

The second accident, the one that has shutdown Interstate 470 eastbound, happened about a mile away from the first. A coal truck, overturned, and caused this huge fire. It took place at exit three.

This accident did not involve any other vehicles and the driver walked away with minor injuries. Crews are still at the scene cleaning up the mess. That's why that portion of the highway is ...

BELLAIRE, Ohio -- Police in Belmont County are searching for the person who set fire to three vacant homes overnight.

Fire crews from Bellaire, Neffs and Shadyside responded to two house fires around 2:30 a.m. on the 2300 block of West 23rd Street. About an hour later, another home went up in flames on Harrison Street.

After the third arson, Bellaire police blanketed the area, something Neffs Fire Chief John Driscoll said may have stopped the arsonist from striking again.

The fire on Harrison street erupted just feet from a school. Indian Run Head Start bus driver Tracy Agnew showed NEWS9 damage like broken windows as a result of the blaze. Inside, the building was filled with smoke and crews had a fan running to try to air out the school.

Driscoll said authorities are actively searching for the arsonist. The state fire marshal also brought in a K-9 as part of its investigation.

"They would be heartbreaking for them to kill someone. They're endangering people's lives," the fire chief said.
